What is a recipe and how does it affect stock?

A recipe links a sold item to the raw materials it consumes. When the item sells, RoyalPOS can deduct the raw materials per the recipe, so raw-material stock stays accurate.

  1. Open Inventory → Recipe.
  2. Define the raw materials and quantities for the item.
  3. Save — sales then deduct raw materials accordingly.

How do I manage raw materials?

Raw materials are the ingredients consumed by recipes. Add and update their stock in the inventory area; recipes draw down raw-material stock as linked items are sold.

  1. Open Inventory → Raw Material.
  2. Add or update raw-material stock.
  3. Link them to items via recipes.

Use the stock-request / request-raw-material option to raise a request to your central store or supplier, choosing the supplier and the shipping address. This records what you need to receive.

  1. Open Inventory → Request Stock / Raw Material.
  2. Select the supplier and items/quantities.
  3. Submit the request.

  2. Enter the counted quantities.
  3. Save to reconcile system stock.

How does low-stock handling work?

RoyalPOS can warn on low stock and, depending on settings, restrict punching items that are out of stock. This helps prevent selling items you can't fulfil.

  1. Open Reports → stock / inventory reports.
  2. Set the date range.
  3. Review current stock, movement, value, or expiry.
