How do I check out and take payment?
Tap CHECKOUT (takeaway/delivery) or FINISH (dine-in) to open the payment screen. Choose a payment mode, confirm the amount, and complete the order. The receipt then prints (automatically if Auto Print is on).

How do I take a cash payment and show change?
Select the Cash payment mode and enter the amount the customer gave (or tap a quick-amount chip). RoyalPOS shows the change/return amount to hand back.
- Choose Cash as the payment mode.
- Enter the cash tendered (or tap a suggested amount).
- RoyalPOS shows the change to return.
- Complete the order.

What payment modes are available?
RoyalPOS supports the payment modes configured for your outlet — typically Cash, Card, UPI/online, and wallet options. Pick the mode the customer is paying with on the payment screen.

How do I split a bill across payment modes?
Use the Split option on the payment screen to pay one bill with more than one method (for example part cash, part card). Enter the amount for each mode until the total is covered.
- On the payment screen tap Split.
- Add each payment mode and its amount.
- Make sure the parts add up to the total.
- Complete the order.

How do I take a partial / advance payment?
Use the partial payment option to collect part of the amount now and leave the rest as due. The order records the paid amount and the balance due.
- On the payment screen choose partial payment.
- Enter the amount being paid now.
- The balance is recorded as due.
- Complete the order.

How do I apply a discount?
On the payment screen apply a discount as a percentage or a flat amount on the bill. Item-level offers and membership discounts apply automatically; the discount is shown in the totals before you complete payment.
- Open the payment screen.
- Apply a percentage or flat-amount discount.
- Check the updated total.
- Complete the order.

How do I add service charge, packaging, or delivery charge?
On the payment screen you can add a service charge (percentage or amount), a packaging charge, and a delivery charge (for delivery orders). These are added to the total and can be shown on the receipt.
- Open the payment screen.
- Enter service charge / packaging / delivery charge as needed.
- The total updates.
- Complete the order.

Can I add a tip?
Yes. Where enabled, you can add a tip amount on the payment screen, which is added to the order total.
- On the payment screen, enter the tip amount.
- The total updates and the order completes with the tip recorded.

What is cash rounding?
Cash rounding rounds the grand total to the nearest configured value so cash handling is easier. When on, the rounded total and the rounding difference are reflected on the bill.

How do I attach customer details or loyalty to an order?
Add the customer's name/phone at checkout to attach the order to them, apply loyalty points, or use a membership card discount. Loyalty and membership benefits then apply to the bill.
- At checkout, add or select the customer.
- Apply loyalty points or membership discount if applicable.
- Complete the order.

What happens on the order success screen?
After payment the order success screen confirms the order and lets you print or share the receipt. The receipt prints automatically if Auto Print is on, and any kitchen KOT / labels are produced as configured.

How does the bill show the currency?
The bill uses the currency configured for your outlet. You can also enable a currency symbol on the printed Grand Total in the receipt customization settings.
