Outlet Setup

Creating and configuring outlets in the RoyalPOS admin dashboard, copying menus between outlets, and resetting an outlet's menu or stock.

How do I create a new outlet?

Open the Outlet section and add a new outlet, entering its name, address, contact, and settings. Once created, you can build its menu, add users, and configure printers/taxes for that outlet.

  1. Open Outlet in the dashboard.
  2. Add a new outlet and fill in name, address and contact.
  3. Save the outlet.
  4. Set up its menu, taxes, users and devices.

What outlet settings can I configure?

Outlet settings include the outlet's details (name, address, contact, tax numbers), business type, currency/country, and various behaviour options. Configure these so receipts and reports show correct information.

  1. Open Outlet → select the outlet → settings.
  2. Update details, tax numbers, business type and options.
  3. Save.

How do I copy a menu from one outlet to another?

Use the Copy Menu option to copy categories and items from an existing outlet to another, so you don't rebuild the menu from scratch for each branch.

  1. Open the outlet's Copy Menu option.
  2. Choose the source outlet to copy from.
  3. Confirm — the menu is copied to the target outlet.

Can I copy the online menu separately?

Yes. There is a separate Copy Online Menu option to copy the online/ordering menu and its pricing between outlets, independent of the in-store menu.

  1. Open the Copy Online Menu option.
  2. Select the source outlet.
  3. Confirm to copy the online menu.

How do I reset (clear) an outlet's menu?

The Reset Menu option clears the outlet's menu so you can rebuild it. Use it carefully — it removes the configured categories/items for that outlet.

  1. Open the outlet's Reset Menu option.
  2. Confirm the reset.
  3. Rebuild the menu as needed.

Resetting is destructive for that outlet's menu — make sure you intend to clear it.

How do I reset an outlet's stock?

Use Reset Stock to clear the stock figures for the outlet (for example before a fresh stock count). It resets quantities so you can re-enter current stock.

  1. Open the outlet's Reset Stock option.
  2. Confirm the reset.
  3. Re-enter current stock via Add Stock or a stock audit.

This clears stock figures — only do it when you plan to recount.
